The History of One Napili Way
Back in the 1970's, Les and Jeannette Harris saw the beauty and splendor of Napili, Maui, and knew, that one day they would end up there. Now, some 20 years later, their dream has come true. Not only do they love their life in Napili, they have found a way to share this place with others through their property, One Napili Way.
The Harris' were in the telecommunications industry in Los Angeles. They retired to Maui in 1988. Les was unable to slide comfortably into retirement.
After about six months, he began looking for some "little" project to keep him busy, and he found a piece of property, with two little run-down shacks, that called out to him.
His plan was to acquire the property, build and sell condominiums that would be large enough for families. Even today, it remains the only development of its kind in the immediate area. The project design called for a two-story development, consisting of 14, 3 bedroom, 2 bath units. At the time of construction, the whole-ownership market value for such a dwelling unit was around $450,000.
The project's quality is evident from the tile roofing all the way through to the tile floors, landscaping, and amenities. The units' interior spaces range from 1,306 to 1,322 square feet (121.3 to 122.8 square meters) and are nearly identical in layout. Each condominium features a complete modern kitchen, washer/dryer, large-screen television in the living room and master bedroom, whirlpool tub and dual sinks in the master bath, and ceiling fans in each room. The units also include 158-square-foot (14.7-square-meter) private lanais, and the downstairs units have small privacy yards. Guests also enjoy a large pool area with a heated spa and barbecue grills.

The grounds surrounding the property are replete with hibiscus, bird-of-paradise flowers, and lush palms. Cooke pine trees stand majestically on the mountains behind the development and the beautiful white sand beach of Napili Bay is just a coconuts throw away.
A natural reef offshore provides ample snorkeling opportunities, and winter guests enjoy watching humpback whales right from the beach. The rustic islands of Molokai and Lana'i also are visible from the beach. After a full day, guests can stroll down the beach for an enjoyable meal at one of the restaurants on each end.

| Next door is Kapalua, one of the world's premier golf resorts, with three golf courses that offer every level of play for enthusiasts. The PGA kicks off its first, yearly tour event at Kapalua, the Mercedes Classic. Kapalua also includes a tennis facility in a beautiful, tropical garden setting.
About 150 yards (137 meters) away are a small sundry/liquor store, hair salon, and specialty shops. Many great restaurants are within walking distance. Lahaina Town, a short 11 miles (18 kilometers) away, offers restaurants and night life. Jeannette recommends that guests on their way to Napili shop for provisions at Costco, adjacent to the airport.
